MARYSVILLE, Ohio – On Saturday, March 7th, sophomore Versailles FFA member Monica Evers competed in the State FFA Public Speaking Contest at Marysville High School. Monica Evers placed 1st in the State in the Beginning Prepared Public Speaking contest, where she wrote, recited and prepared a speech that was 5 to 7 minutes long from memory and answered questions about the speech.
Monica advanced to the state contest by placing 1st in the district. A special thank you to High School English teacher Amy Hoying for assisting Monica.
