Evelyn Joyce Hoilman of Greenville


Evelyn Joyce Hoilman passed away peacefully on April 9, 2024, at 9:01 PM at the Brethren Retirement Community of Greenville, Ohio. Evelyn was born in Winchester, Indiana to James and Ann (Lawson) Nance.

She was an intense competitor and loved the game of Bridge, which she played multiple times per week at various locations in and around Greenville.

Her careers include cooking and managing the Courtesy Cafeteria, along with her first husband, Robert J. Coffman. She also was a beautician for many years with a “shop’ in her home on Seiler Road. Starting in 1973, she enjoyed a 43-year marriage to the late Tom Hoilman.

Evelyn is survived by her two sons, Michael Coffman of Vandalia and Tom Coffman of Durham, NC; stepdaughter Debbie Meine of Spring Valley, Ohio; grandchildren Ben Coffman of Wilmington, NC, Jonathan Coffman of Chicago, IL, Todd Coffman of Spring Hill, FL, Leslie Powell of San Clemente, CA and Alisa White of New Carlisle, OH; great-grandchildren Luke Powell, Irene Powell and David Powell of San Clemente, CA, Paisley White and Kayden White of New Carlisle, OH.

A Graveside Funeral Service for family and friends will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the new section of the Greenville Cemetery on State Route 571, Greenville, Ohio. A reception will follow at 439 Circle Drive in Greenville.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be given to EverHeart Hospice 1350 N. Broadway Greenville, Ohio, 45331.
