Distinctly Darke County Tourism Collaborative set for Thursday

With theme of sharing tourism together – event includes four tourism awards

GREENVILLE – The Darke County Visitors Bureau reminds and invites all Darke County tourism partners to attend Distinctly Darke County – Sharing Tourism Together on Thursday, October 22, 2026, a county-wide collaborative celebrating the people, places, and organizations that make Darke County a vibrant and welcoming destination.

As a highlight, this year’s event will be held at the newly completed John & Iris Hathaway Education & Community Center, offering attendees the opportunity to be among the first to experience the facility since its opening.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with light refreshments and beverages provided at no charge. Tourism partners from across the county — including attractions, festivals, lodging providers, restaurants, event organizers, and community organizations — are encouraged to attend. There is no admission fee, and there is no RSVP requirement.

In addition to celebrating the importance and impact of tourism upon Darke County, the evening will feature the presentation of four Distinctly Darke County Tourism Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions that embody the pride, positivity, passion, and dedication that define the county’s tourism community.

“This event is about celebrating collaboration and the shared commitment that makes Darke County special,” said Greg Billing, Executive Director of the Darke County Visitors Bureau. “We look forward to welcoming our partners, sharing ideas, and honoring those who go above and beyond to enhance the visitor experience.”

The collaborative aims to strengthen relationships, encourage cross-promotion, highlight achievements, and build momentum for future tourism initiatives throughout the county.
