GREENVILLE – The Darke County Veterans Services Commission (DCVS) reported a strong turnout during its three-day distribution of $50 Thanksgiving food vouchers for honorably discharged Darke County veterans and unremarried surviving spouses.
“We had a great turnout handing out the fifty-dollar food vouchers for Eikenberry’s for veterans and widows of veterans to have a good Thanksgiving meal,” said Tom Pitman, DCVS Director/CVSO. “We are thankful for our veterans. We at Darke County Veterans Services like to show our appreciation for our veterans’ service to our nation.”
Pitman also noted that December will bring the annual holiday ham distribution for veterans and widows.
