David Lee Markley, age 74 of Fort Recovery, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at 8:20 PM at his home. Born in Greenville on November 4, 1949 he was the Son of the late Barbra (Unger) & James Markley. David worked as a Maintenance Tech at Fort Recovery Industries for 28 years before retirement. He was an avid bowler and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and took every opportunity to shoot his guns. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Aunt Mary Filby.
Survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna (Young) Markley, whom he married on August 21, 1976. His Sons; David (Julia) Markley, William (Jenny) Markley, and Jerry (Mindy) Markley. Uncle Paul (Jean) Mogel. Grandchildren; Jessica Longenecker, Jacob Alt, Daniel Markley, Caleb Markley, Josiah Markley, Kylie Bay, Michael Markley, Isabell Markley, Jordan Markley, Caiden Walters, and Dax Olding. He also had 10 great-grandchildren. David was a great man and he will be missed greatly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
