DARKE COUNTY – The Darke Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) Board of Supervisors has officially reorganized for the 2026 calendar year following its most recent monthly meeting.
The proceedings began with the acknowledgement of oath of office for Monty Stump, administered on December 30, 2025, by Darke County Commissioners Matt Aultman, Marshall Combs and Aaron Flatter. Following the swearing-in, the Board elected Gary Goettemoeller of Wayne Township to serve as Chairman for the 2026 term.

Vice Chair: Rick Honeyman (Van Buren Township)
Treasurer: Monty Stump (Greenville Township)
Publicity: Kevin Jones (Adams Township)
Secretary: Joe Hartzell (Washington Township)
In addition to his role as Chair, Gary Goettemoeller will serve as the Chairman of the Nominating Committee for the upcoming year.
Public Meeting Notice
For 2026, the Darke SWCD Board of Supervisors will hold its regular monthly meetings on the first Monday of each month at 8:00 a.m. All meetings are held at the Darke SWCD office located at 1117 Southtowne Court, Greenville, Ohio.
Please note that meetings are subject to rescheduling. Residents are encouraged to call 937-548-1715, extension 3, to verify dates and times. If a special board meeting is required, the date, time, and location will be posted on the office door and at www.darkeswcd.com
The Darke SWCD office is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
