ARCANUM – We had another awesome school visit for DD Awareness….this stop – Arcanum Elementary School Trojans!
This year’s visits are even more meaningful because the students from the MD classes are joining our presentations! They are bringing awareness and understanding to their peers about their disabilities and also what they enjoy doing.
Cooper and Everly, along with their teacher Amy Beanblossom, taught us about their ways of communication – Cooper uses an iPad and Everly loves to make new friends by commenting on something she notices about them – like they are wearing a unicorn sweatshirt.
The kids loved hearing about their classmates and they realized they have lots in common! At the end of one session, as the kids were saying goodbye, Everly said, “I am so happy!”
