Darke County Senior Patriotic Dance This Friday

DARKE COUNTY – It’s almost July 4th and everyone is talking about the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. The board members of the Darke County Senior organization are excited to hold a Patriotic dance on Friday, June 26th from 7 – 10 pm held at the DCS Center, 5844 Jaysville-St. Johns Rd, Greenville. The dance is open to all members. Come celebrate with your senior family! Show your patriotic pride by wearing red, white, and blue. Light refreshments will be available.

Individuals who are not yet members of the Darke County Seniors (DCS) are welcome to join. Membership is available for those aged 55 and above at an annual fee of $2. Interested applicants may visit the Senior Center from Monday to Thursday between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm or register during the Friday evening dance.

Earlier Friday, Kari Ganger from Cruise Adventure and Travel will deliver a program titled “Let’s Talk Travel” from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. This complimentary event will highlight the advantages of travel for seniors and feature opportunities for group excursions within Ohio, across the United States, and globally. Light refreshments will be served.

Don’t miss us at the Greenville City Park America 250 Community Picnic! The DCS will be there on Sunday, July 5th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, serving free lemonade and tea to everyone, plus offering temporary tattoos for kids. Our line dancers will perform at 1:00 pm, and guests are invited to join the fun.
