DARKE COUNTY – Lace up your running shoes and mark your calendars! The beloved Raptor Run 5K, hosted by the Darke County Park District, is returning on Saturday, September 13th, 2025, with a 9:00 AM start at the Shawnee Prairie Preserve Nature Center.
Run or walk through prairies, shady woodlands, and wetlands, passing notable landmarks like the Sugar Shack, Log House, and Blacksmith Shop before the finish line near the Nature Center.
All proceeds benefit the Raptor Ambassador Program, which supports the care and enrichment of Darke County Parks’ resident birds of prey—including feeding, medication, and educational outreach.
Awards and refreshments will be served around 10:30 AM on race day.
