DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Jr. Fair will hold a Swine Skill-a-thon on July 18 from 4-7 pm, and then again on July 20 from 9-11 am in the swine barn at the Darke County Fairgrounds.
If anyone is unable to attend, they are required to complete an essay to be eligible to show and sell.
The topic for the essay for senior and intermediate are the six main nutrients required and what are their purpose. A 500-word minimum is required.
For junior members, the essay topic is why is it important for your pigs to have the proper nutrition. A 250-word minimum is required.
All essays should be turned in to the secretary’s office no later than Aug. 1.
