GREENVILLE – The Darke County Dog Royalty competition brought excitement and celebration as local youth showcased their skills and sportsmanship.
Before the evening’s events began, exhibitors were surprised with a special gift from a local woodworking and carving shop. The children eagerly unwrapped the package to reveal a life-size wooden carving of a dog — crafted to match the breed of the woodcarver’s own pet. The kids were thrilled with the surprise and quickly gave the carving a name: JJ.
The competition began with the introduction of the candidates, including their names, ages, clubs, and activities.
Each contestant was interviewed individually by judge Megan Mead, followed by a round of showmanship.
After the scores were tallied, the 2025 Darke County Canine Royalty were announced:
King: Evan Beanblossom
Queen: Madison Haworth
Prince: Dominic Bergman
Princess: Chloe Alexander
Congratulations to all of the contestants for their hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm in representing the Darke County Canine Program.
