Darke County JFS announces back-to-school assistance program

GREENVILLE—Darke County Job & Family Services recently announced a Back-to-School Program for kids enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade for the 2023-24 school year.

There is $200 available for clothing/school supplies per eligible child. Applications will be accepted June 1, 2023 to August 31, 2023.

With applications, proof of school enrollment is required. This excludes home and internet school programs. The assistance group must meet all other PRC requirements – recipient of Public Assistance (TANF, SNAP) and/or have a family income at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Level.

Application, completed W-9, and proof of school enrollment must be received by Darke County Job and Family Services, located at 631 Wagner Avenue Greenville, OH 45331, no later than Thursday, August 31st at 3 p.m. No exceptions.

Agency representative may request proof of income to determine eligibility. Applications cannot be processed without a completed W-9 and proof of school enrollment.

Applications received prior to deadline will be processed on a first come first serve basis until funding is exhausted. Applications received after deadline will be denied automatically. Eligible households will receive notification by mail with benefit pick-up day and time.
