DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners’ regular Tuesday, February 24, 2026, meeting started at 9:34 a.m. with Commissioners Aultman and Flatter present. The Commissioners then approved the minutes from February 17, 2026.
The Examination and Allowance of bills dated February 24 were presented. The General Fund amount was $41,943.45, and the Outside General Funds were $547,455.88, totaling $589,399.23. They were approved.
The Darke County Zoning Commission and the Zoning Board of Appeals had some new members. The Commission added Ken Moorman of Wayne Township and Marc Erwin of Brown Township. The Appeals Board added Galen Harrod of Brown Township. All members were approved.
Darke County Juvenile/Probate had an expense request for Lori Miller to attend the 2026 Ohio InterCourt Conference in Columbus on March 11-13. The total amount of $916.00 was approved.
Darke County Grants received a Revenue and Appropriation increase from the 2026 Apron/Taxiway Rehab Grant. The total increase was $675,456.96, of which the County share was $17,736.96.
National FFA week was journalized. Darke County was well represented with many awards, including at least one State Degree candidate from each program, and twelve top four proficiency candidates. More to come in the future!
The Darke County 911 Program Review Committee Annual meeting took place next. Melissa Hawes stated there were no revisions to the 2024 plan, and plans were being made for the new plan due in 2030.
