GREENVILLE – The Darke County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday afternoon.

Commissioners Matt Aultman, Marshall Combs and Larry Holmes were all present.

Under Resolution (R-373-2024), Examination and Allowance of Bills dated October 22, 2024, were read and approved. The amount of the General Fund was $10,658.63; Outside General Funds were $186,290.44; with a Grand Total of $196,949.07.

Commissioners opened and approved two bids for Darke County Solid Waste for the Collection of Recycling Items for the bins that are stored throughout the county.

The first bid was received on October 18, at 11:24 AM from Best Way of Indiana, Inc. $4,910 per month for a period of 2025 and 2026 with a five-year contract. An extra service charge will be charged $65 per location and no access will be charged $20 if they are unable to get to the location.

The second bid was received on October 18, at 12:41 PM from Rumpke in Cincinnati, Ohio. $321,529.20 for a five-year contract. An extra service charge will be charged $70 per location and no access will be charged $70 also.

Commissioners approved a Change Order for an Increase of Arcanum’s portion of PY2022 Allocation Grant. The contract will be adding five items including pavement removal in the amount of $76,171.

Commissioners also approved two Certificate of Appointments for Hailey Ashmore and Robert Wolf for Part Time Kennel Workers at the Darke County Animal Shelter.
