DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Communication Contest was a lot of fun and a great learning experience for everyone who participated. Members from the Crowing Coops 4-H Club did an excellent job representing our club.
We had five participants from our club take part in the contest. Three Cloverbud members recited the 4-H Pledge. They all did a wonderful job and received a participation 4-H bear for their efforts.
One of our club advisors also entered the Advisor Communication Contest and earned 1st Place. We were very proud to see our advisor do so well!
Our club also had one Intermediate member compete in the Animal Species Division. He gave a speech about how to prepare before a poultry show, how to conduct yourself during the show, and how to be respectful to judges and other participants after the show. His speech was very informative and earned him 1st Place.
The Communication Contest is a great way to practice speaking in front of others and improve communication skills. Everyone who participated learned something new and gained confidence.
We are proud of all of our Crowing Coops members and look forward to participating again next year!
