DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners’ June 16, 2026, public session started at 9:32 a.m., with Commissioners Aultman, Flatter, and Combs present. The reading of the minutes from June 9th was first and approved, and the examination and allowance of bills for June 11th and 16th were next. The General Fund total was $52,312.17; the Outside General funds were $869,828.89; and the total was $922,141.06, which was approved.
The Grants Dept. had two fund advances and one advance back. The first advance was to cover Garmin Miller engineering for the 2023 Ft Jefferson sewer grant. The total was $44,400.00. The second was for $88,848.00 for Shinn Brothers Arcanum High St. Project. The Advance back was for the 2025 Box Hangar grant advances totaling $42,203.00.
Reick Services received the award of $204,875.00 to install new Chillers in the Courthouse and Sheriff’s Office.
The Commissioners authorized the 2026 CHIP grant application totaling $700,000.00.
TransUnion Risk and Alternative Data (TRADS) signed an agreement with the Sheriff’s Dept. for $203.00 a month for all searches and reports the Sheriff needs. It was approved.
Two 2023 Ohio Lead Safe Grants were approved. One for 4932 Children’s Home-Bradford Road to Lamp Construction of New Carlisle for $18,100.00, and one for $42,950.00 to American Pinnacle Construction of Youngstown, Ohio, for 9840 Children’s Home Bradford Road.
A Proclamation was signed for the 75th year of the Versailles Poultry Days, and a reminder that all County offices will be closed on Friday for the Juneteenth Observance. Session ended at 9:46.
