Connie moved from Piqua to Versailles in 1957, along with her husband, Ralph.

She had worked at Hartzell’s in Piqua and Weaver Brothers in Versailles. She really knew how to run an office. Little did she know her “family” was about to grow. She started at Johns IGA and ran the office for 50 years – 52 including her time at Grilliot’s IGA Foodliner. Connie Apple had been much more to this community than just an office manager.

Among other self-initiated tasks, she had been a member of the Park Board for 38 years. Connie had spearheaded IGA-sponsored fundraisers such as Boxtops for Education, Trash Is Cash, Friends of Hole Field, and the “Save the Labels” program. Connie did many hours of charitable work for her community. Connie Lynne Apple you are one of a kind and you will be missed by one and all.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Friday, September 20, 2024, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Pastor Todd Reish officiating.
