GREENVILLE—The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday afternoon to discuss Midmark Corporation and the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. Commissioners Matt Aultman, Mike Stegall and Larry Holmes were all present.

The board approved a Master Services Agreement between Darke County and Midmark Corporation. As a part of the agreement, the county will take over operations of Midmark’s fuel farm, located adjacent to the Darke County Airport, in Versailles.

Darke County agreed to pay Midmark $250 per month during the term of the agreement for right to provide the services.

The agreement will commence on the effective date and continue through December 31, 2023, unless terminated earlier.

Next, the board entered a brief executive session with Darke County Sheriff Mark Whittaker and Chief Randy Linkous to discuss union negotiations.

Following the session, the board approved both agreements (Sergeant’s Unit and Unit B) brought forth by Sheriff Whittaker.

“I just want to thank the commissioners, for agreeing to sign the tentative agreements,” Sheriff Whittaker said. “I appreciate that. It concludes our negotiations, and we can move ahead and look forward to the next three years.”
