Commissioners talk electric bids, county auxiliary

GREENVILLE—The Darke County Commissioners met on Tuesday afternoon to open electrical bids and discuss vehicle maintenance for the county auxiliary. Commissioners Matt Aultman, Mike Stegall and Larry Holmes were all present.

The board opened and accepted bids from electric companies regarding a project that will provide electrical upgrades to 300 Garst Ave, Greenville, Ohio 45331.

Bids were received from Garber Electrical, 3 Way Electric and Bushur Electric.

The board will review the bids and bring one back to session next week to accept.

Next, the board approved Darke County Vehicle maintenance contracts with the Darke County Auxiliary, City of Greenville and Village of Union City, Ohio for 2023.

In the contract, the county agrees to maintain and service, and repair vehicles and equipment at its county vehicle maintenance facility on Martin St., and desires a contract with the City of Greenville to provide such services to the City.

Preventative maintenance and repairs performed will be in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Regulations.

The board will not meet on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2022, due to the County Commissioners Association Conference.
