DARKE COUNTY – The November 18, 2025, regular meeting of the Darke County Commissioners started at 1:30 p.m. with Commissioners Aultman, Combs, and Flatter present. The Commissioners then approved the minutes from November 13th. Then, the examination and allowance of bills for November 13th and 18th were presented. The totals were $12,324.75 for the General fund, $80,586.50 for outside funds, and a total of $92,911.25
The Board of Elections and the Commissioners transferred appropriations for two invoices. The Board of Elections for the 2025 Election Security Grant for $10,000.00, and the Commissioners transferred $2,650 to pay the Greenville Union Cemetery invoice.
A Maximus Contract for Professional Services was next. It is for a cost allocation plan for the Ohio Darke Cap for 2025-2027. Total cost will be $30,750.00.
Korrect Plumbing and Heating submitted a quote for the Board of Elections project. The proposal submitted was for $9,432.00.
App Architecture had a change order for the D.C. Wagner interior Renovations. The change order was for $17,197.97. This included additional Data work, Drywall repair, acoustical panels, and programming the fire alarm panel.
Darke County Grants fixed a date for the Arcanum South High Street Reconstruction. Bids will be received at the Commissioner’s office until 1:00 p.m. on December 18th, 2025. Bid documents may be accessed at the office of Access Engineering, 1200 Irmscher Blvd., Suite B, Celina, Ohio 45822.
Darke County Grants had a fund advance and a Transfer of Appropriations. $8,814.00 was advanced from the General Fund to the Outside Fund for BF&S Services from May to September from the 2025 Weather station Grant, and $13,609.00 from the General Fund to cover the County share.
A contract between Darke and Miami County for Juvenile Detention services at the West Central Juvenile Detention Center was signed. The cost will be $163.00 a day each for three beds at the facility for the years 2026 and 2027.
The Grants department had five Fund advances to present, all General fund to outside funds. The 2024 Demo grant to cover salaries for Susan Laux and Sally Keiser was $4,942.48; the 2024 Airport Terminal/fuel tank Demo Grant for salaries for Susan and Sally was $4,4243.67; $11,176.50 was advanced to cover BF&S Professional services April through September. The 2023 Lead Safe Grant was advanced $10,032.55 to cover salaries for Susan and Sally, and finally, the 2024 CDBG Grant was advanced $2,652.82 for Salaries for July to September for Susan and Sally. Funds will be advanced back once it is received from the Grants.
The Darke County Sewer Department had a Revenue and Appropriation increase due to higher-than-expected Revenue. The total increase was $2,792.00.
