DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners, Matt Aultman, Aaron Flatter, and Marshall Combs, were all present at the meeting on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The regular session began at 1:30 in the Administration Building. On the agenda were the regular session minutes from May 22nd, which were passed unanimously. Then, the examination and allowance of bills for May 22nd and May 27th were presented. The vouchers, including any “then and now” certificates in the amount of the General Fund, totaled $15,610.46. Outside General Funds of $151,070.73 were also unanimously approved for payment, for a total of $166,681.19.
Transfers of Appropriations for the H.R./Office Manager and Darke County Solid Waste were next. H.R./Office Manager (General Fund) moved $100 from member/dues to other operating for labor law posters, and Solid Waste (General Fund)moved $10,000.00 from other operating to Recycling Drop Box to cover the year’s recycling costs.
Friday, June 6th at 10:00 a.m. was the date chosen for the second public hearing on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for Wayne Lakes Park. They are requesting $500,000.00 for improvements to Main Drive, North Drive, North Middle Drive, West Drive, and Community Drive. The Village is committing $50,000.00 in non-CDBG funds to the project.
Darke County Grants transferred money from an outside fund to the General Fund, utilizing the 2022 Grettysburg Critical Infrastructure Grant, totaling $6,997.00.
The next meeting of the Darke County Commissioners is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 29th.
