Commissioners receive new ARPA Grant

GREENVILLE – The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Thursday afternoon.

Commissioners Matt Aultman, Marshall Combs, and Larry Holmes were present.

The board passed Resolution (R-55-2024). This raises revenue and appropriations through the new 2024 Home and Community-Based Service ARPA Grant. This raised revenue and appropriations each by $550,000.

“Darke DD has applied to make an Accessible Communities Grant; that’s where this is coming from,” Commissioner Matt Aultman said. “This is going to lead to multiple projects.”

The board then accepted two Petitions for Annexation to review. Both are in the Village of Versailles; the first is 0.549 acres, and the second is 7.592 acres.

“The first application of 0.549 acres is on Versailles southeastern, and it’s coming into the village so they can have access to sewage services and water,” Commissioner Aultman said. “The 7.592 is on the southwest corner of the village right as you come into town on the north side of 121; I believe they are coming in to upgrade the house. So these are just some steps taken.”

The Darke County Board of Commissioners holds a regular session every Tuesday and Thursday at 1:30 pm at 520 South Broadway, Greenville, Ohio 45331. For more information, contact the commissioners’ office at 937-547-7370.
