Commissioners petition for annexation

GREENVILLE – On Tuesday, April 22nd, two Commissioners were present. Commissioners Combs and Aultman were present; Commissioner Flatter was absent. The meeting started at 1:30 p.m. The Commissioners’ first order of business was the reading of the session minutes from Thursday, April 17th, which Commissioners Aultman and Combs approved.

The session proceeded with the examination and allowance of bills with vouchers amounting to $6,973.14 out of the General Fund, and outside funds of $358,173.97, for a total of $425,147.11; all were approved for payment.

The Darke County Grants Dept requested a Revenue and Appropriation increase of $6,331.00. The transfer of appropriations was also approved by the Commissioners to make the final payment on the Local Jail Capital Project Grant. Darke County Ditch Maintenance employee Zach Wilson tendered his resignation and was accepted by the Commissioners.

A petition for annexation from FHS Support Corporation for 21.558+ acres was submitted next and accepted. The reading of the Hearing for the petition of annexation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Finally, the Darke County Auditor and the Darke County Common Pleas court had expense requests to submit. A mandatory meeting for the Auditor for four people to attend the CAAO summer conference in Dayton, June 2nd through the 6th, for $4665.00, and the Common Pleas court for Judge Fleihman to Lewis Center, Ohio, for the Ohio Common Pleas Judges Association conference, June 2nd through June 27th for $1,183.50.
