GREENVILLE – The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday afternoon.
Commissioners Matt Aultman, Marshall Combs, and Larry Holmes were present.
The board approved Resolution (R-74-2024). This is a Fund advance of $118,250 to cover Burgess and Niple Consultant bills for Phases 1 and 2 of the Warrant Sunoco Project. This will advance back to the General Fund once the revenue is received from the 2023 Warrant Sunoco Grant.
The board then approved Resolution (R-75-2024). This is a fund advance of $5,820 to cover Lamp Construction on owner rehab Hammaker. This will advance back to the General Fund once the revenue is received from the 2022 CHIP LAP Grant.
The board also approved Resolution (R-76-2024). This is a fund advance of $25,441.15 to cover Lamp Construction on owner rehab Hammaker. This will advance back to the General Fund once the revenue is received from the 2021 CHIP HOME Grant.
The board approved a Specific Services Agreement for Pre-Demolition Asbestos Inspections with Turn-Key Environmental Consultants, Inc. The consultants will do inspections at 850 Braffetsville North Rd. New Paris, 128 W Union, Hollansburg, 1298 US Rt 36, Greenville, 4096 Richmond Palestine Rd. New Madison. 935 Peters Rd. Fort Recovery, 1132 Verona Pitsburg Rd. Arcanum, 4857 Delisle Fourman Rd. Arcanum, 7189 Delisle Fourman Rd. Arcanum, and 209 N Miami St. Bradford. The total cost for these services will be $6,860.
The board then approved a PY2023 Lead Safe Ohio Grant Agreement. This awards the county $642,000 in grant funds for Lead Safe Ohio Program projects.
“This is the formal contract for the Lead Safe Program that we were awarded,” Commissioner Matt Aultman said.
“This will look and act a little bit like a CHIP Grant, and we are looking forward to administering this and improving home safety along with this,” Commissioner Larry Holmes said.
