GREENVILLE – The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday afternoon to discuss a County Engineer Backhoe sale, funding for the Darke County Economic Development Office, and the Darke County Visitor’s Bureau Board of Trustees.
Commissioners Matt Aultman, Marshall Combs, and Larry Holmes were present.
The board approved fixing the date for the Sale of a Backhoe for the County Engineer. The backhoe will be sold to the highest bidder at or above $81,000. The backhoe can be viewed at the Darke County Highway Department at 7670 Greenville-Celina Road during working hours or by appointment. The date change applies to the final date to receive bids, which is now January 23, at 1:30 pm.
The board then approved a letter of Request. This is the 2024 support for funding of the Dark County Economic Development Office in the amount of $237,599.
The board also approved the Darke County Visitors Bureau Board of Trustees for 2024. The board includes Chairperson Robb Clifford, Vice Chairperson Lise Martin, Secretary Amanda Enicks, Treasurer Dennis Baker, Larry Boos, Daryl Riffle, Terri Flood, Jack Olshan, Brian Brown, Marshall Combs, Rachel Neal, April Brubaker, and Greg Billing. All terms are non-expiring.
