Commissioners approve Tuberculosis funding agreement

DARKE COUNTY – The regular session of the September 30, 2025, Darke County Commissioners started at 1:30 p.m. with Commissioners Aultman, Flatter, and Combs present.  The Commissioners then approved the minutes from September 23rd. The examination and allowance of bills for Sept. 25th were $6,542.32 for the General fund, $63,407.64 for outside funds, and a total of $69,949.96, which was approved.

The Auditor had a transfer of appropriations for machine rental for the Wagner Avenue Government Center. The total was $10,000.

Darke County Grants had revenue and appropriation increases for the Gordon/Ithaca Sewer District totaling $60,000. The Grants Dept. also had a specific services agreement for post-asbestos abatement with Turn-Key Environmental for two projects. Project 25234, comprising nine locations, was priced at $2,115.00, and project 25350, consisting of three locations, was priced at $975.00. The Grants Dept. also had two fund advances. One, to cover J. Rank Electric for the automated weather observing system at the airport. The advance of $213,750 will be advanced back once revenue is received from the Grant. The second advance was for Patriot Engineering and Environmental for the Hamilton property in Greenville. The total advance was $3,300.00.

House Bill 96 provides for cybersecurity for all counties, and the Darke County Commissioners approved their program today.

A Tuberculosis funding agreement between the Commissioners and the Ohio Department of Health was passed. It provides $1,665.57 in funding for each incident. The County typically has two to five cases per year.

A transfer of appropriation for the Auditor was presented to the Commissioners for App Architecture and Engineering to cover various costs. The total was $90,000.00.
