GREENVILLE – The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Thursday afternoon.

Commissioners Matt Aultman and Larry Holmes were present.

The board approved Resolution (R-62-2024). This is a transfer of appropriations for Darke County Vehicle Maintenance. This transfers $644 for the yearly subscription for the GM diagnostic tool.

The board then approved Resolution (R-63-2024). This is a Fund Advance for the Gettysburg School Demolition. This advances $108,750 to cover the advanced demolition bill for DEMO Invoice #168. This will be advanced back to the General Fund once the funds are received from the Grant.

“This is one of the Brownfield projects,” Commissioner Matt Aultman said.

The board also approved an expense request for Darke County Juvenile Court. This is for Magistrate Dustin Davis to attend the Ohio Association of Magistrates Spring Conference. Costs include lodging and registration for an estimated total of $715.

At the end of the meeting, Larry Holmes discussed the Region Transportation Planning meeting he attended in Sidney.

“This is the three counties of Shelby, Preble, and ourselves,” Commissioner Larry Holmes said. “We are moving forward with finalizing the plan that will roll out. … Each county talked about what plan is being proposed that will move forward for regional transit to the Ohio Department of Transportation. It’s their new process to identify and then eventually access funds in the budget for roadways primarily. We’ll see where that goes; they are making progress.”
