GREENVILLE – The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday afternoon.

Commissioners Matt Aultman, Marshall Combs, and Larry Holmes were present.

The board approved Resolution (R-37-2024). This is a fund advance back from the 2023 Broadband Ohio Grant. This advances $200,000 back to the General Fund.

The board then approved Resolution (R-38-2024). This is to amend Resolution (R-342-2023) on Home Rehab Loan Funds. This increases the project amount from $75,884 to $79,410.

“This was a 2021 Chip program; the prices of goods and stuff have gone up,” Commissioner Matt Aultman said. “We are trying to finish it up because we do so many home repairs under Chip, and we are finalizing the chip program with home rehabs now. The rehab goes more in-depth with the house.”

The board also approved a Request for Proposals to CDBG Grant Administration and Related Services.

“We have to go out every five years to get their services,” Commissioner Aultman said. “This is part of the process for our CDBG program.”

The board approved a Warranty Deed with the Village of Osgood. This transferred ownership of a 755-foot portion of Yorkshire-Osgood Rd from the County to the Village of Osgood.

“Up in Osgood, they are working on an annexation process for the village,” Commissioner Aultman said. “As they were going through the process, they realized we owned part of the street and the Village didn’t. So we are going to turn it over to the Village to maintain, to pave and line and deal with.
