DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners’ August 26, 2025, meeting started at 1:30 p.m. with Commissioners Aultman and Combs present. The session minutes from Tuesday, the 21st, will be read on Sept. 2nd.
The session proceeded with the examination and allowance of bills for August 26th. Vouchers amounting to $9,920.09 out of the General Fund, and outside funds of $122,101.51 for a total of $132,021.60 were approved for payment.
The Darke County Animal Shelter approved new fees for the shelter in 2026, and approved the Microchip release and Waiver Liability form. This form waives the first redeem/housing fee of a micro-chipped dog. The Fee list is presented below.
Transfers of Appropriations for three departments were next. The municipal court transferred $1,495.00 to cover the maintenance of a finger roll live-scan machine. The airport transferred $5,419.00 to cover the costs of aviation fuel test samples, and Solid Waste transferred $3,000 to cover the expenses of the Dare Program and battery exchange program.
Darke County EMA had a fund advance back of $8,000.00 from the fiscal year 2022 HMEP grant to the LEPC-Special emergency fund.
The 2025 Early Intervention Program had a revenue and appropriation increase of $12,538.77 from the federal grant.
