DARKE COUNTY – The November 13, 2025, regular Darke County Commissioners meeting started at 1:30 p.m. with Commissioners Aultman, Combs, and Flatter present. The Commissioners then approved the minutes from November 6th. Then, the examination and allowance of bills for Nov. 6th and the 13th. The totals were $71,183.26 for the General fund, $495,095.01 for outside funds, and a total of $566,274.27
Various departments transferred money. The Prosecutors’ office moved $4,000.00 for monthly internet bills and office supplies. The Airport transferred $165.00 for liability insurance, and the Coroner needed $400.00 more for vehicle supplies and parts.
Revenue and Appropriation increases were next for Darke County JFS. Child services received $4,200.00 from local receipts.
Darke County Solid Waste asked for the authority to submit the Project nomination form for Tire Amnesty and Cleanup events. This is a Community and Litter Grant Fund project.
A Change order for the Darke County Airport for the Airport Brownfield Grant for the Collins Equipment Corporation was next. Due to additional effort and cost to clean up fuel and sludge from the original tanks, an extra $11,025.00 was needed.
A notice of public hearings for Electric Aggregation was announced. The Public hearings will be December 9th at 309 Albright Street in Arcanum at 4:00 p.m., and 124 East Star Street in Rossburg at 6:00 p.m.
Darke County JFS had a request for blanket approval for Employee transport from Director Carla Allen. Effective January 1st through December 31st, 2026, any employee of JFS in the normal discharge of duties may transport clients to hospitals, clinics, child placement, etc., in bordering counties and states. The employee may claim reimbursement not to exceed the maximum for in-state travel. It was approved.
Darke County JFS was granted authority by the Commissioners to allow Director Carla Allen to sign the inter-county adjustments of allocations on the county’s behalf.
Darke County JFS then presented the non-bargaining salary schedule and MRTC salary schedule effective Jan. 11th, 2026.
Mikesell Excavating submitted a quote for the Palestine Super Service building in Palestine. This is for the Brownfield Grant for the Cross Street building. The quote for $22,400.00 was to demolish the building, contents, concrete slab under the building, and adding 4 inches of stone where the building was and grade it.
Darke County Grants also received a quote from H&H Environmental for the same location. The bid was for the removal of windows and tape for $850.00.
The monthly report of obligations and securities to be journalized for October 31st, 2025, was presented and accepted.
