GREENVILLE – The Darke County Board of Commissioners met on Tuesday afternoon to discuss the OneOhio Region 15 board and more.
Commissioners Matt Aultman and Marshall Combs were present.
The board approved Resolution (R-423-2023). This is amending the OneOhio Region 15 board. This appoints Marcus Ballinger with the Village of Arcanum to a three-year term effective 1/1/2024 to 12/31/2026.
“Back when we started this board almost two years ago now, the opioid region 15, what they’ve done is they’ve stepped them in with a three-year seat, a two-year seat, and a one-year seat,” Commissioner Matt Aultman said. “Last year was the first renewal; this time going around is Marcus Ballinger. He was on a two-year seat, so this year, he is renewing to a three-year seat.”
The board also approved Resolution (R-424-2023). This is a fund advance back onto the General Fund. This advances $323,993.40 from the 2020 FAA AIP Grant back into the General Fund.
“This was the resurfacing of the runway grant money that is coming back,” Commissioner Aultman said.
At the end of the meeting, Commissioner Aultman discussed the upcoming AG Mental Health Program – Harvesting Wellness.
“This is a mental health program that is going to be happening at Versailles schools in January set up for the agriculture community,” Commissioner Aultman said. “This is offering some tools and abilities out there for the community.”
