GREENVILLE – The Greenville girls soccer program completed a four day high school evening soccer camp with 24 players taking to the field from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night under the direction of Lady Wave coach, Dave Ernst.

“This year’s team camp consists of half on-field and half team bonding,” said Ernst. “The team is really starting to bond and gel.”

Coach Ernst is excited for the upcoming OHSAA varsity season with a well-rounded team built on youth and veteran experience.

“The Lady Wave soccer will end up around 23-24 players,” Ernst noted. “We have a good youth group coming up with five freshmen and we’ll have between eight and 10 seniors on the roster.”

The 2022 season has Coach Ernst expecting big things from his Lady Wave soccer team playing in the always tough Miami Valley League.

“Looking for some great things coming out of this fall,” said Coach Ernst. “Our focus is to put a team on the field and not 11 players,”

“Stay tuned because it’s going to be a special season,” Ernst added. “There could be some records falling during the season whether it’s a single season scoring record or team scoring record or the most wins in a season. We’re getting there.”
