GREENVILLE – The Greenville High School selected local insurance agent, My County Link Photojournalist and longtime supporter of Greenville athletics, Chris Norris as their 2024 Homecoming Grand Marshal before the start of the Lady Wave varsity volleyball match.
“It took me by surprise when the Lady Wave players and all of my family all came in and started to gather around where I was – sitting on the bleachers before the varsity match was getting ready to start,” Norris said. “I must say, I was “taken back” when I read the sign they were holding, asking if I would be their Homecoming Grand Marshal. I have always been an avid Green Wave supporter – and for the GHS Student Council to ask me to be this year’s Grand Marshal… it is truly a heartfelt honor!”
Norris will be recognized during the annual Homecoming Parade as it rolls down Broadway on Thursday, Oct. 3… the evening before the Wave takes the field for their Homecoming game at Harmon Field.
