Child Awareness Month Proclamation Signed

DARKE COUNTY – The July 23, 2026 Darke County Commissioners’ regular meeting started at 9:32 a.m. with Commissioners Aultman, Combs, and Flatter present. The Commissioners then approved the minutes from July 23.

The examination and allowance of bills were presented and approved. The vouchers for July 27th and 28th were: General Fund $4,877.24; outside General Fund $429,729.88; for a total of $434,607.12.

The Commissioners had a Transfer of Appropriations from other operating expenses to reimbursements for $12,000.00.

An agreement between R.D. Holder and the Commissioners for propane equipment loan and supply for the new hangar was approved. It was for the use of a 1,000-gallon propane tank.

The Grants Dept. had 2 fund advances for the 2023 Lead Safe Ohio Grant for various properties. They were Lamp Construction for Anthony Wayne Preschool, First Choice Lead Abatement for 1747 Arcanum-Hollansburg Road, American Pinnacle Construction for 9840 Children’s Home-Bradford Road, and the April-June salary reimbursement for Susan Laux. The Total Advance was $148,691.48. The Second was the 2023 Lead Safe Ohio Grant for First Choice Lead Abatement for 602 South Main Street, Ansonia, and All American Environmental for Various properties. The total transfer was $76,908.00. It was approved.

A Child Support Awareness proclamation for the month of August, 2026, was signed by the Commissioners and journalized.
