CELINA – This morning a Facebook post was brought to our attention. The post was re-shared to a Facebook group page from a public Snapchat post that was circulating. As of now, the original creator of the post is unknown.
The post indicated a threat to “cms”. We have investigated this post and do not have any reason to believe it has anything to do with Celina City Schools.
Our school resource officer has been working with school administrators and checked in on a few names that were brought into the investigation and found they are not students in the Celina School District.
We would strongly encourage anyone who comes across a potential concern of school safety to call the Celina Police Department first before posting on social media.
