DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners’ regular October 23, 2025, meeting started at 1:33 p.m. with Commissioners Aultman, Flatter, and Combs present. The Commissioners approved the minutes from October 23rd. The examination and allowance of bills totaled $108,149.61 for the General fund, $239,216.32 for outside funds, and $347,365.93.
A 2025 FAA Box Hangar Fund advance to cover Level MB’s contract for services through 9/30/25. The advance was for $38,296.78.
A Revenue and appropriation increase was also passed for the 2025 Box Hanger Grant. Money was received from the federal reimbursement grant, State Grant, and the County share totaling $477,342.00. Of that total amount, the county’s share was only $32,205.00.
The Sheriff and the Treasurer both had expense requests. The Sheriff for $900.00 for Austin Knight, Steve Cox, and Tony Royer to attend the Glock Armor School held at the EMA building on November 4th. The Treasurer is asking for $564.18 for Scott Zumbrink to attend the County Treasurers Association’s Continuing Education and Conference on Nov. 11th-13th. Mileage and Lodging total $564.18.
