GREENVILLE – Darke County Center for the Arts will kick off its 2026-2027 Artists Series on October 10 at 7:00 p.m. with bluegrass group Wilson Thicket performing at St. Clair Memorial Hall.
Wilson Thicket has the acoustic soul of an Appalachian string band, but there is more to this Thicket than just a patch of bluegrass! The group is a Michigan-based band that combines a hand-picked group of top singers, instrumentalists, and songwriters with decades of performing experience under their belts. Old-school favorites, creative covers, and dynamic original songs are all delivered with strong doses of vocal harmony and creative instrumental mastery.
Greenville Elks Lodge #1139 and The Brethren Retirement Community sponsored this event. Additional support for DCCA’s programming comes from the Ohio Arts Council, Darke County Endowment for the Arts, Harry Stephens Memorial Fund, John R. & Miriam H, Knick Fund, The City of Greenville, and individual memberships.
Tickets for Wilson Thicket are $25; students will be admitted at half price. To purchase tickets, contact DCCA at 937-547-0908, visit their office on the third floor of the Greenville Library on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, or buy online at darkecountyarts.org.
