DARKE COUNTY – The Blue Angels 4‑H Club gathered for their March meeting on March 16th at Faith Baptist Church. Members were welcomed with healthy snacks and beverages before beginning the evening’s activities.
Club President Aliva Addis called the meeting to order and guided members through the agenda. During the meeting, officers presented their reports, and updates were shared about the upcoming Trash Bash, including information on captains and organizational plans. Members also discussed details about this year’s 4‑H Camp, helping families prepare for the busy season ahead.
A highlight of the meeting was a visit from the Dake County Fair Queen and Julie Raffel, the third runner‑up. They spoke about their experiences over the past year, offering encouraging stories and insight into their roles within the fair community. Members enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the fair court and the responsibilities that come with it.
While the older members participated in the main meeting, the Clover Buds enjoyed fun games and hands‑on activities with their advisor.
After the meeting was adjourned, both Clover Buds and older members came together for a favorite annual tradition, making brownies in a mug. The OSU Extension Office also provided a variety of project books for members to look through, giving everyone a chance to explore potential projects for the upcoming 4‑H year. The club was proud to see many new members and share their insights and advice for the upcoming year.
The next meeting will be held at Faith Baptist Church on April 20th from 6:30-8:00.
