DARKE COUNTY – On Tuesday, at approximately 5:22 a.m. Darke County Deputies, along with Versailles Police Department, Versailles Fire & Rescue, were dispatched to the 9800 block of State Route 185, Versailles, Ohio 45380 in reference to an injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a bicyclist was traveling north on OH 185. A silver 2004 Cadillac Escalade, being driven by George Worden III (43) of Versailles, was also traveling north on OH 185. Worden drifted to the left on the roadway to avoid the bicyclist. The bicyclist also swerved to the left and was struck by the mirror of Mr. Worden’s vehicle and fell off the bicycle.
The operator of the bicycle was identified as Skyler Butt (30) of Piqua. Butt was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center for suspected non-life-threatening injuries.
