WINCHESTER, Ind. – After being apprehended at his residence in Greenville on Friday, 36-year-old Bryant Q. Barnes was later transported to Randolph County Jail to face several felony charges related to child molesting.
When the judge signed off on a warrant for Barnes’ arrest last week, a $70,000 bond was set for when Barnes was arrested and transported to Randolph County.
According to court records, Barnes repeatedly forced a female child, who was then a 6-year-old, to perform sexual acts in 2015. At that time, he resided in Winchester, Ind., where the alleged crimes occurred.
He is charged with Child Molesting (F1), Incest (F4) and Child Solicitation (F5). Barnes faces nearly 50 years in prison if convicted as charged. He is currently out on bond and is scheduled to be in court for his initial appearance on May 15, 2025.
