ARCANUM – The Arcanum Public Library has had a very exciting 2025 Summer Reading Program in the theme of “Color Our World.”
Throughout the summer, we have been thankful to provide our patrons with many new and exciting programs such as Final Bow Performing Arts Dance 5-week dance classes, The Guitar Man, Blake Bailey Productions, a Meet the Artist Night, Lisa Crutchfield Music Fun Program, The Darke County Parks Department, and Hatchers Hatchlings. We have also been able to provide crafts for all ages, weekly Storytimes, and a couple Movie Matinees.
We will be celebrating our end of Summer Reading Program with a celebration on the lawn for patrons on Saturday, August 2nd from 10 am to 12 pm. We plan to have games, snacks, activities, and some fun prize drawings for patrons attending the event. This will also be the last day for patrons participating in our Summer Reading Program to submit their last reading logs. The prize case will be available for at least another week.
We want to thank the following area businesses for their donations that have helped us during our Summer Reading Program keep our prize cabinet full, provided funding for some of our amazing special programs, and allowed us to have some amazing door prizes for special events. Thank you to the Dayton Art Institute, Kings Island, Vandalia Rec Center, Troy Aquatic Park, Dairy Queen, STF Insurance, Skate 805, Troutwine Auto Sales, Lightning Electric Inc., Hothead Burritos, Penn Station, Fourman’s Variety, El Carreton of Greenville, JT’s Brewery, KFC of Greenville, The Garst Museum, Casey’s, Raising Canes, Beachwood Golf Corse, and Brickhouse Collision and Customs.
We hope our patrons have enjoyed all we have been able to provide in serving the community during the Summer Reading Program and look forward to getting back in our regular school year schedule in September. Thank you for making this a great end of our Summer Reading Program!
