DARKE COUNTY – This week’s local spotlight athletes are Mississinawa Valley varsity basketball’s senior Syenna Purdin and junior Brooklynn Seubert.
Purdin and Seubert both scored 15 points in their Thursday night WOAC League Match-up with Tri-Village to earn athletes of the week.
Senior Blackhawk Syenna Purdin was instrumental in the 2nd half in helping her team come from behind to defeat Tri-Village with 13 of her 15 points came in the 2nd half. She also had 10 rebounds and 2 assists.
Junior Blackhawk Brooklynn Seubert scored 15 points and had 6 rebounds and 2 steals in the winning effort.
