DARKE COUNTY – This week’s local spotlight athletes are Elizabeth Poling and Regan Christ.
Tri-Village sophomore Elizabeth Poling pitched her team to a big win over undefeated WOAC Tri-County North Tuesday. The Patriots are now 7-0 in the league and 12-1 overall. Poling has 11 wins so far this year and owns a 1.785 ERA with 72 strikeouts.
Arcanum sophomore Regan Christ pitched a no-hit perfect game vs Franklin Monroe. He faced 21 batters and was very efficient, throwing 79 pitches, 56 for strikes, had 13 strikeouts and walked none. The Trojans move to 7-1 in the Western Ohio Athletic Conference.
