ANSONIA – Recently, the 2026-2027 Ansonia FFA officer training retreat was held. It was a three-day leadership experience designed to help build teamwork, leadership, and communication skills.
Officers began at the school for group work before heading to Ft Saint Claire Park in Eaton for the first session and photos. Then it was off to Whitewater, where they participated in six training sessions focusing on officer development.
Throughout the retreat, officers worked together to prepare meals, complete cleanup duties, and take part in team-building activities such as a scavenger hunt, card games, Cam-jam, and other group games. The officers also enjoyed outdoor recreation that included hiking, swimming, and volleyball.
The retreat provided opportunities for personal growth, responsibility, and strengthening relationships among the officer team before returning home after the final training session and campsite cleanup.
It was a very successful retreat for the officers and they are ready to take on the new school year!
