ANSONIA – On Thursday, September 12 the Ansonia FFA held its September member meeting. At this meeting, the officers went over all announcements with their FFA members. Along with this they moved to have the Homecoming Dinner on October 11th, moved to send a team of five to the county soils contest on September 17th, moved to send students to the district job interview contest on October 7th, moved to send a team of four to the district soils contest on September 25th, voted to adopt the changes to the constitution, and moved to take a day trip to National Convention on Thursday October 24th for members. All of these motions were passed.
In addition, the Ansonia FFA recognized their September member of the month, Wyatt Homan. Wyatt Homan is an 8th grader and has met all the requirements while excelling in the number of CDEs he participates in. During an interview with Wyatt Homan, He listed the CDEs that he plans on doing this year: Soil Judging, Parliamentary Procedure, and Livestock Judging. To finish the interview Wyatt was asked what his favorite thing about or in Agriculture he answered that he enjoys that there are more experiences.
