Andy Darrell Reier was born April 23, 1960 in San Diego, California, to Norman Greagor Reier and Elsie Marjorie Hammaker Reier.
He was the fourth of nine children. While he was born in San Diego, his parents were originally from Ohio and moved back when he was a toddler. He was raised in Rossburg, outside of Greenville, Ohio, home to the famous Eldora Speedway.
Andy attended school in the town of Ansonia, where he eventually met the love of his life, Linda Kay Osterloh. They were 15 and their meeting was one for the books. But let Linda tell you how they met at another time.
Andy was a jack-of-all-trades, but he ended up becoming an ASE Certified Automotive Technician. He and Linda moved to Texas and were married on May 25, 1985.
On September 9, 1986, much to everyone’s surprise, Andy and Linda welcomed fraternal twins Stephanie Danielle and Christopher Michael. They are the only children that they had and brought great joy to Andy and Linda.
In 1991, Andy opened his business called All Faze Automotive, which he owned and operated until his death. While it may have been just a shop, his family and friends made many fond memories there.
Andy had many hobbies and passions, such as collecting Hot Wheels and Beer Steins. He was a great mechanic and it showed in the care he took with his customers’ cars to the hot rods he restored, especially his 1970 Boss 302 Mustang.
He was an avid woodworker and had a successful side business making custom cabinets and furniture with the assistance of his family. He loved motorcycle rides on his Harley and Friday nights at Los Gallitos, eating fajitas and having a margarita with his family and his friends.
Andy’s greatest joy was serving Jehovah. He showed how much he loved Jehovah by dedicating his life to Jehovah in baptism on January 22, 1989. In time, Andy became a Ministerial Servant and later an Elder. Andy enjoyed many privileges over the years, such as being the Watchtower Study Conductor, Service Overseer, Secretary, giving public talks, and being a part of Special Metropolitan Public Witnessing. Andy loved helping out in any way he could.
Andy is survived by his wife Linda Reier, Son-Christopher Reier, Daughter-Stephanie Shamma (Son-in-Law: Mousa Shamma), and one grandchild-Atlas Shamma. Siblings-Dean Reier (Lisa), Jan Reier, Lisa Fisk (Mark), Diane Wilson (Scott), Scott Reier, Darla Ahlers (Greg), and Rae McGarrity. Plus, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Reier and Elise Hammaker Reier and brother Gary Reier.
