GREENVILLE – Amy Schoen has been teaching at Greenville High School for 16 years. She coached volleyball for 8 years, was the NTHS Advisor for 6 years, and was on the NHS Advisory Committee for the past 8 years.
Amy has been a department chair for 6 years. She has also been on the Board of Directors for Ohio FCCLA for 3 years and this is her 15th year as an FCCLA Advisor. Amy has been on the Building Leadership Team at the high school for 2 years and Senior Class Advisor for 1 year. She has been the Backpack Coordinator for Greenville City Schools for the past 10 years.
Amy is always willing to go above and beyond for the students and staff at Greenville High School. Amy spends many hours mentoring new career tech teachers with their career tech licensure advancement courses in the evenings and summer. She supports her students by putting many hours into assisting them with their FCCLA projects and she has 20 students who will be representing Greenville High School and her program at the state level for the year 2025.
Superintendent Doug Fries commented that Amy Schoen has been a long-time time dedicated and hardworking instructor in our career tech program. She is both an excellent teacher and mentor for our high school students. Amy runs a top-notch preschool program in our Careers with Children program. Mrs. Schoen has sent numerous students to FCCLA National Competition over the years. Amy is very deserving of the 2025 Greenville Teacher of the Year award.
