
ANSONIA – The Ansonia Wall of Fame Committee inducted Allison (Phillippi) Wright into membership between the Friday night JV and Varsity boys basketball games with Franklin Monroe.

“This is a special moment that I was able to use my God given talent to achieve in high school sports,” said Wright.
A 2015 alum, Wright was recognized and inducted for her athletic accomplishments in softball, basketball and cross country where she earned eight athletic letters in the three sport during her high school career.

Wright received numerous individual, team, and conference awards in the sports she participated in at Ansonia High School. She currently holds nine school records in Lady Tigers softball. Single season records include: hits (55), singles (36), home runs (8 – tied with Catey Fischer, a 2022 inductee). Career records: Hits (174), singles (102), doubles (46), triples (12), RBI’s (103) and runs scored (117).

Wright’s induction marks the first time two generations from one family have been members of the Wall of Fame. Her father, Shawn Phillippi was inducted February 5, 1993 for his athletic achievements in track and football at Ansonia.
Wright is currently a physical therapist assistant. She and her husband Andrew reside in the Rossburg area and are the parents of two sons, Coby and Brooks.
“I would like to thank God, my parents, my grandparents, my brother, my husband Andrew and the rest of my family for supporting me through my athletic career, coming to all my sporting events and cheering me on,” Wright stated following the induction ceremony.
