All of these illnesses can simply go away

214

It amazes me about all of the illnesses that seem to pop up every year, affecting lots of people. They are not always the same diseases, I don’t think, but you read on Facebook and hear about others who are suffering from something.

My heart goes out to the families who have been dealing with these issues in recent months, especially if young children are involved.

COVID was bad enough, but it seems like there is always some kind of virus going around. Several people have indicated on Facebook that they have been sick for several days or more before getting any better.

I pray for everyone concerned that they get better. It is not fun being sick and you have to be aware when going out amongst people.

My great-niece Sunni was born premature but has overcome most obstacles and is growing like a weed. I got to hold her the other week for the first time while visiting her Nana Michelle and it was a pleasant feeling.

However, before I got to hold her, my son Jamie had the honors. He surprised me when he entertained her like he did. He sang “I am a Real American“ and “He’s Got the Whole World In His hands” to her. You see, the two of them, plus Sunni’s father, Buck, have something in common and are professional wrestling fans and “I am A real American” is one of the theme songs of a wrestler.

Yes, Sunni watches the TV when wrestling comes on. Good for her if that makes her happy.

Her family and I are glad she is improving all of the time.

Another person whose health issues I am following on Facebook is a local young man who is facing multiple issues in his illness and his mother is keeping readers abreast on what is happening there. I salute her for doing that as she is in the medical field and is explaining what he is going through. I feel so sorry for her, her son and the family in general. Prayers are being sought for him as I write this.

Let’s also pray that everyone who is affected by illnesses successfully survives their respective ordeals.

Jamie and I extend our condolences to the families of Jill Schmitmeyer Albers, Thomas V. Copp, Judy Brown, Teresa Fryman and Devon Lumpkin.
