In recent days, I haven’t been writing individual articles, not because I don’t want to but because the weather has played an important role in that and I am still having issues with my aches and pains and don’t want to embarrass myself at a function by losing my balance. But I usually have a weekly column.
If I’m unable to make a visit to my interviewee, I can send him or her a lot of questions via email and write my article from that information, which has worked for me in the past.
I did such a thing this past week when I got hold of Rhonda Wysong Dunlevy of Bradford when I saw where she received an award from Ohio’s Hospice. Messaging her, I asked her if she would mind if I did a story and she obliged.
The story came out this past week and that was when I found out that I had made a mistake by indicating that it was a recent award she received. She received that honor, but it was awarded in 2018. After the story had run, she was explaining to our readers that the award was awarded seven years ago, and she was nice about it. I messaged her again and asked her if I should rewrite the story, which I could have done if needed. She said not to worry about it… and informed me that she had already explained it to the readers.
I always hate it when I make an error. They are not intentional at all. I almost gave up this time, but I am not going to do that just yet. I will keep on going.

And, I did learn a lesson and that is to really think about what I am asking for in my questionnaires before sending them off. And, do as I usually do, say a prayer before hitting the “send” button.
I do thank Rhonda for pointing that out and not being angry with me. But I should have known she would do that. I interviewed her for maybe a year or so again when I wrote about her managing the Community Club in Bradford. Then, when I heard about this Hospice award, I knew I had to do something about it because of her commitment to her community activities as well as her job.
I have never met her in person, but I can just imagine the good job she does with her clients.
As for my mobile issues, I will continue to work on them. I am reading up on some things I can do to get myself feeling better. I take certain vitamins in addition to my regular medications, exercise my feet to try and to get my blood to circulate better and once again… pray! Hopefully, all will get better soon.

Think about it: “A good night sleep or a 10-minute bawl, or a pint of chocolate ice cream, or all three together is good medicine.”–Ray Bradbury (since he said this, it must be true)
